CLUBS I'M A PART OF
National Honor Society
The National Honor Society is dedicated to giving back to the community through service and leadership. In the past, our chapter had been relatively quiet, but this year, as president, I set out to revitalize its impact. With the support of my officers, we launched new initiatives, including the Adopt A Junior program, where seniors mentor juniors while earning volunteer hours. We also organized a group volunteering event at the Rosenberg Railroad Museum’s Meet Gala, strengthening our chapter’s presence in the community.

GREEN CLUB
The Green Club has a simple yet impactful mission: to safeguard our planet through small actions, like cleaning up trash on our school campus. Recognizing that we, as a species, have played a part in harming the Earth, it's only fair that we take responsibility. By doing so, we not only contribute to the well-being of the human race but also strive to restore harmony with nature. Joining this club has given me the chance to connect with others who share the same goal – protecting our precious planet.
Asian American Culture Club
In this club, students come together to celebrate their unique cultures and foster connections among peers. Our primary goal is to counteract Asian hate by showcasing the rich diversity within our community. It's a gathering of like-minded individuals, each bringing their distinct perspectives. Through this platform, I was able to showcase Chinese culture to my peers by teaching them Chinese phrases. Personally, I joined to establish connections with those who share my cultural background. By engaging with clubmates, I not only gain insights into potential career paths but also valuable information about college options. It's more than just a cultural exchange; it's a supportive network with shared goals and aspirations.

TSA
I recently joined the Technology Student Association, where talented students hone their skills through STEM competitions. Encouraged by friends, I'm now part of teams for Software Development and Video Game Design. While being the main coder for Software Development, I also contribute to the art, design, and storyboard for the Video Game Design team. My journey involves mastering various programs, including VS Code for coding, JavaScript, and the Piskel website for avatar design—all in the pursuit of club success.
Coding Club
This newly established club gives students interested in coding but cannot take the class an opportunity to learn and practice coding languages. It also provides a way for old coders like me, who no longer take the class, to meet and enhance their skills while mentoring other members.

HAS

The High School Aerospace Scholars is a NASA program that introduces high school juniors interested in aerospace engineering to a challenging online course that runs throughout the school year. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me because I have always been in awe of the unknowns of space. Through this program, I have acquired a wealth of new knowledge about space exploration, Earth science, technology, and aeronautics. We've utilized tools like TinkerCAD and Scratch coding to build models, showcasing the skills we've gained from each module. Engaging in discussions with peers, we provide feedback to enhance our connections with each other.
WIT
WIT is a club funded by Texas A&M that provides selected students with the opportunity to explore nearby colleges and potential careers in STEM. Recently, we had the chance to tour Texas A&M's cyclotron during our visit to College Station. Although it was my second time visiting the institution, it was still a wonderful experience that provided me with more insight into the field of engineering, as well as the wonders of nuclear engineering.
