Nice to meet you! I'm Wanru Li ☺

As a current junior at Foster High School in Richmond, Texas, I am dedicated to contributing to the well-being of our community through volunteer work. My objective is to support local organizations in their efforts to enhance learning opportunities for future generations. In addition to my community involvement, I am an active club volleyball player at Katy United, where I aim to promote the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle among my peers.

Looking ahead to college, I am eager to delve into the field of chemical engineering. This discipline captivates me with its limitless possibilities, providing an avenue to explore the intricacies of chemistry and apply them to our everyday world. I am excited about the prospect of furthering my understanding of this field and making a meaningful impact through my future studies.

I have a cat named Raven who loves basking in the sun and mingling with other neighborhood cats. I make it a daily routine to play and relax with him outdoors.

Exploring new places with my family is a passion of mine, and since the year following the pandemic, I've been collecting pins to commemorate the places we've visited.

Doodling has become a cherished hobby for me. Although I took art classes outside of school until 8th grade, I still find joy in capturing the occasional burst of creativity that my mind produces through drawing.

Board games have become a favorite pastime for me. Not only do they offer entertainment without the need for electronic devices, but they also encourage physical interaction. In a world where technology advances rapidly, it's crucial to put down our phones and engage with one another. Board games provide a great opportunity to break away from phone addiction and enjoy activities like a round of Monopoly without constant interruptions from notifications.

Chemistry has always been a subject close to my heart. One particular highlight for me is the fascinating lab activity of titration, where a high level of concentration is essential. Engaging in this intricate experiment not only brings joy but also provides an opportunity for collaborative enjoyment with my friend. Together, we navigate the complexities of the task, ensuring that we stay focused and accountable throughout the experiment.
